We consider a stochastic-ray model of wave propagation based on the theory of random walks that accounts for only two parameters: the amount of clutter and the amount of absorption, in the environment. This model applies to indoor and outdoor environments, characterized by a large number of (small) scattering objects. Examples are microcells for personal communication and networks of multihop wireless sensors or laptop computers. We extend our previous results on narrow-band signals to impulse waveforms, deriving a closed form solution for the power delay profile of the received signal.
