摘要
Current accelerated-aging tests usually take many days to induce appreciable strength loss for paper restricting its practical use for paper producers and end-users. To deal with this problem, a method of accelerated aging that provides results within a few hours was proposed and described. This method consists of increasing the aging temperature to 130-170 degrees C and retaining the moisture in the sheets during aging by self-pressurizing. The experimental results have demonstrated that this approach could be a quick alternative to traditional accelerated-aging tests.
