摘要
A compact tri-band monopole antenna with asymmetric CPW grounds for WLAN/WiMAX applications is proposed. The proposed antenna has a simple structure and compact size of 28x14.5 mm(2). It is found that the lengths and positions of the T-shaped monopole and the asymmetric CPW grounds can be used to adjust three desired resonant frequencies, good omnidirectional radiation characteristics and reasonable gains can be achieved as well. The compactness, simple feeding technique and uniplanar design make it easy to be integrated within the portable device for wireless communications, therefore, the proposed antenna is suitable for WLAN/WiMAX applications.
