摘要
The processes controlling the microstructural evolution of very fine grain sized metallic alloys-mostly developed by plastic deformation-are briefly reviewed. Recent work on understanding the mechanisms that inhibit localized grain boundary motion by Zener and solute drag and applying this knowledge to model systems is outlined.
