The Important Role of Higher Education and Continuing Education in Direct Relation with the Labor Market

The paper presents the important role of the university educational offer which has to be adjusted all the time with the labor market demands by implementing efficient communication means between the academic environment at the institutional level and the entire society, especially the social and economic one, by realizing good practices transfer. The paper also presents the waysfor improving the administrative capacity of the Petroleum Gas University of Ploiesti by promoting quality in the academic environment and the adjustment to the major transformations that regularly appear in the Romanian economy. One of these ways consists in conceiving a questionnaire addressed to the employers which represents an important step in the improvement of the economic activity with the help of well qualified human resources according to the labor market demands.
