A novel summer air conditioning system is proposed. The proposed system modifies the work of the classical evaporative summer air conditioning system. The performance of the proposed system is investigated quantitatively, and a comparison between the performance of the classical and the modified systems is conducted. It is found that the modified system improves the performance of the classical one by about 100%. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
