摘要:
Comparing between stroke and vascular dementia patients and healthy controls, the distribution of angiotensin converting enzyme(ACE) polymorphism was different. In stroke and vascular dementia patients, the DD polymorphism was also the largest among the types of ACE gene polymorphism but in vascular dementia patients the I I polymorphism was also significantly increased. Though the deletion polymorphism may play a part in development of stroke and vascular dementia, from the results there may be some difference of genetic distribution between stroke and vascular dementia patients. As the genetic factor of vascular dementia is still uncertain, more studies need to be performed in future including ACE gene.
