摘要
The researchers reviewed the challenges of assessment and evaluation of online teaching and learning of mathematics in the time of Covid-19 in Nigeria. Descriptive research design was adopted for the study with 1500 participants drawn through volunteer sampling. Data were collected using CAEOTLMCQ. The result revealed that inadequate power supply to conduct assessment and evaluation online, lack of e-facilities and e-resources, among others are the challenges of assessment and evaluation of online teaching and learning of mathematics during Covidl-19 in Nigeria. The period of this study was the time of Covid-19 pandemic where there were curfews and lockdowns. Thus, the volunteering sampling technique used may not truly represent the entire population. The findings of this study suggests that government and relevant stakeholders could as a matter of urgency equip universities and institutions of learning with adequate e-facilities and resources that could aid online teaching and learning as well as assessment if education must thrive in time of crisis as that of Covid-19.
