摘要：

The main areas for the development of science and technology clusters (STCs) and the countries that are leaders in the rating of the Global Innovation Index in terms of patent and publication activity are identified. The dynamics of the increase in the number of countries participating in this rating are shown. The leading position and high competitiveness of Chinese STCs in the world are substantiated.
