Synthesis, structures and magnetic refrigeration properties of four dinuclear gadolinium compounds

摘要
Four new Gd-2 compounds, [Gd-2(L1)(2)(acac)(2)(GH(3)O)(2)] (1). (Gd-2(L1)(2)( beac)(2)(OH)(2)](2), [Gd-2(L-2)(2)(C4H10O3)(2)-(CH3OH)(2)] (3) and [Gd-2(L3)(2)(acac)(2)(CH3O)(2)] (4). were synthesized by solvent evaporation methods and studied by structural analyses and magnetic analyses. Crystallographic studies reveal that these compounds are dinuclear compounds and each center Gd(III) ion is eight-coordinated. The magnetic studies reveal that 1-4 display cryogenic magnetic refrigeration properties with -Delta S-Max values of 24.80 J kg(-1) K-1 for 1 (T= 3.0 K and Delta H = 7.0 T), 25.45 J kg(-1) K-1 for 2 (T= 2.0 K and Delta H = 7.0 T), 21.12 J kg(-1) K-1 for 3 (T= 3.0 K and Delta H = 7.0 T), and 31.33 J kg(-1 )K(-1 )for 4 (T= 2.0 K and Delta H = 7.0 T).
