摘要
Blended learning is seen as a catalyst to the recent advances in education. Hence, it is important to conduct studies which examine the effectiveness of blended learning among ESL tertiary level students. This case study examined the blended learning experience of 20 ESL students who were taking an ESL writing course at MARA University of Technology using a Blended Learning Academic Writing Module (BL-AWM). The class combined six hours face-to-face classroom learning (face-to-face mode) and two hours online learning using BL-AWM via a Learning Management System for the duration of two months. The results were derived from the triangulation of the data collected from the students' online writing tasks, a set of survey questionnaire as well as a focus group interview with the selected respondents. The findings indicate that BL-AWM can be successfully integrated in ESL writing proficiency course. The module helps the students to be autonomous in learning, enhance their ESL writing ability as well as stimulate their interest to learn writing.
