摘要
Non-adiabatic heating effects are important to be taken into account for electric motors working both at low speeds or at peak loads. The state of art drive limit determination techniques of these operation modes are either too complicated or include excessive margin. In the paper a simple two-mass electro-thermal model of non-adiabatic heating processes is presented. Based on allowable winding temperature deviations it enables to determine thrust limit as a function of the drive speed as well as peak current time. The proposed model was used to determine parameters of linear motor series developed for machine building at Moscow Power Engineering Institute. The obtained parameters were included into the datasheet.
