摘要
This empirical study focus on work motivation literature by investigating the impact of career satisfaction, career commitment and supervisory support as antecedents of organizational commitment in order to address solutions for severe turnover problem among Thai workforces who work in foreign subsidiaries. Hypotheses were tested on data from 135 full-time Thai employees of Japanese subsidiaries. The results of this study show that career satisfaction, career commitment and supervisory support correlated significantly with organizational commitment. Additionally, younger employees were likely to perceive less commitment to their organization. More importantly, the findings indicated that, career satisfaction, and commitment and supervisory support also predicted organizational commitment. A discussion of the current findings highlights the combination of management practices in relation to employees' career path, socialization process and constructive supervision for human resources retention from the early stage was also addressed.
