摘要
This article discusses development of monologue and dialogue speech when teaching language to students of non-linguistic universities. Monologue speech as an activity of verbal communication necessarily includes a certain motivation or need for communication, which is formed in the communicator due to non-communicative factors, which in the process of orientation in a problem situation is transformed into a motive for communication activities. At the same time, a communicative intention is formed, a communicative task is singled out. Then orientation is carried out in the conditions of the task, due to which it becomes possible to plan speech (and communicative) actions in general.
