The objective of this article is to analyze the labor market in Turkey and the relationship between youth unemployment and growth considering the globalization process. In this context, firstly, the labor market experienced conversion with globalization has been referred and then the labor market in Turkey and its characteristics examined While analyzing the labor market in Turkey, employment structure and employment structure in the conversion, unemployment and fight against unemployment, the relation between youth unemployment and education has also been given in detail place. At the last part of the study, an econometric analysis has been done by using 2000Q1-2010Q4 period data for Turkey. According to results of econometric analysis, a causality relationship has been found among youth unemployment, GDP, and inflation. It is possible to say based on the said result that the changes being occurred in inflation and in GDP have effect directly or indirectly on youth unemployment in Turkey.
