摘要
We model the representation of auditory space in the barn owl as a posterior probability density function over location variables given cues extracted from the auditory input signals. Binaural disparity cues are introduced to the input signals through the use of head, related transfer functions. The cue extraction process is based on the extraction of temporal and intensity information in parallel pathways. Inferring locations from auditory cues relies on stimulus invariance properties of the computed location cues. (C) 2003 Published by Elsevier B.V.
