摘要：

We carry out a qualitative analysis in terms of phase plane trajectories in order to study the traveling wave solutions and their characteristics of the Klein-Gordon equation with quintic nonlinearity. Based on the differing phase trajectories in different regions, we obtain different types of real-valued and complex-valued traveling wave solutions such as kink/anti-kink wave solutions, bell/anti-bell wave solutions, periodic wave solutions, singular wave solutions, and periodic singular wave solutions.
