摘要
Based on a recent bryophyte collection from Dhofar (Oman), the tropical Asian Claopodium prionophyllum (Leskeaceae) is reported for the first time from the Arabian Peninsula. This remarkable range extension, as well as the first records of the tropical Asian Barbula. consanguinea and further taxa such as Fissidens serratus, Hyophila involuta or Plagiochasma beccarianum impressively indicate again the strong palaeotropical influence in the bryophyte flora of the escarpment mountains of southern Arabia. In addition, II new records are reported from Oman, two from the Asir Mts. of Saudi Arabia, and one from the Yemen escarpment mountains.
