摘要
We present a numerical Wigner function model for the simulation of mesoscopic semiconductor devices. An exact non-local formulation of the transport equation in the Wigner presentation and its discretization for numerical calculation are discussed. The capability of the developed Wigner simulator is demonstrated by applying it to a resonant tunneling diode where quantum interference effects are important.
