Raymond Boudon's methodological individualism

Raymond Boudon's first contribution to methodological individualism lies in the way he treated the two arguments according to which only individuals exist, and they are the masters of their own destiny. A second contribution of his is the solution he gave to the following three problems: What are the individual causes of individual actions? What are their social causes? And how do individual actions combine to bring about social phenomena? These arguments and problems are presented following a brief history of methodological individualism.
