Low-frequency dispersion of purified Rb2ZnCl4

摘要
The dielectric spectrum in the improper ferroelectric commensurate phase of purified Rb2ZnCl4 consists of a high-frequency Debye-like part followed by a low-frequency "dielectric tail". Dielectric spectroscopy carried out in weak AC-fields proves the non-Debye character of the low-frequency dispersion. Temperature dependent measurements confirm the coexistence of both relaxation mechanisms in the whole temperature range T-c>T>125K investigated. The time evolution of the spectra indicates, that domain wall annihilation does not represent the decisive mechanism causing the dielectric decay in Rb2ZnCl4.
