摘要
Thriving at work a factor for social sustainability is referred to the joint connection of learning and vitality. Over the past decade, it has become a popular research topic with a call for researchers to explore the individual-level antecedents that can contribute to employee thriving to achieve social sustainability. Consistent with the emerging field of positive organizational scholarship, our study seeks to explore the impact of fairness perception on employee's subjective well-being. We propose a sequential mediation model that investigates the relationship between fairness perception and subjective well-being with the sequential mediating mechanism of workplace civility and thriving at work. Data was obtained using two waves lagged study design from 804 employees working in different sectors. Our results provide empirical support for the direct and indirect hypothesized relationship through Process Macros. We found that workplace civility and thriving at work play a significant role in explaining the association between fairness perception and subjective well-being. The theoretical and practical implications of the findings are also discussed. (c) 2020 Institution of Chemical Engineers. Published by Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
