Optically detected oscillations of screening by a two-dimensional electron gas in a magnetic field

摘要
The acceptor-related magnetoluminescence of a two-dimensional electron gas confined in GaxInAs1-x/AlxInAs1-x single quantum-well structure is investigated. The recombination energies are found to smoothly depend on the magnetic field in contrast to the total luminescence intensity, which clearly oscillates as a function of the ailing factor. The intensity oscillations are damped with temperature similar to the Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations. The findings are consistent with oscillations of the wave function of the valence hole bound by the screened potential of an acceptor.
