Generalized solutions of local initial problems for quasi-linear hyperbolic functional differential systems

摘要
Caratheodory solutions of quasi-linear hyperbolic systems ill the second canonical form are investigated. Theorems on the existence, uniqueness and continuous dependence upon initial data are given. The method of bicharacteristics and integral inequalities are used. The local Cauchy problem is transformed into functional integral equations. The existence of solutions of this system is proved by using integral inequalities and the Banach fixed point principle.
