摘要
With embedded generation becoming increasingly present on distribution networks and changes in electricity use brought about by the introduction of new loads (e.g. electric vehicles), improving network visibility to aid more efficient power system operation and management is considered critical. Metering and data collection is currently limited, particularly at the low voltage (LV) level, but with the introduction of high resolution smart metering and other distributed measurements, opportunities exist to make better use of information to support both operational and investment decisions. This paper presents a review of the existing research centred on improving LV network visibility. It examines some of the issues surrounding the use of domestic smart meter data and proposes a methodology to develop a clear understanding of the network that makes use of a limited information set.
