摘要
This paper presents a review on sensing and on-line monitoring of sheet metal stamping operations. Various sensors were reviewed including strain sensors, acceleration sensors, force sensors and proximity sensors. Most of these sensors are commercial products. A number of signal classification methods are also discussed. The testing data were corrected from both laboratory controlled experiments and shop floor practice. It is found that the strain sensor is the most favorable because of its effectiveness and cost. Future research ideals are also discussed.
