摘要
In the first part of the paper general present state of Russian gas reserves production and export is discussed. Projections for the period up to 2020 based on various sources are given. It is demonstrated that future gas development in Russia will probably essentially depend on technological innovations. Now Russian gas industry is rather stable, but this situation could change in the future. In the second part some new cryogenic technologies (as an example of possible innovations) for gas industry are reviewed that are based on aerodynamic principles. These technologies are now under implementation in Russia. It is suggested to use supersonic swirled flows for achieving low temperatures and for performing separation process. Such approach in general is new for gas industry and can stimulate innovative process as well as provide certain breakthrough in gas processing.
