INFLUENCE OF CROP ROTATION AND NITROGEN FERTILISATION ON MORPHO-PHYSIOLOGICAL TRAITS

摘要
The paper presents the researches performed at Agricultural Research and Development Station (ARDS) Valu lui Traian during 2009-2012 which emphasised the effect of crop rotation type and nitrogen rate on wheat plant height. In 3-year crop rotation, the plants had the highest height, reaching the maximum at N-120+10 t manure (91.8 cm). The very high nitrogen rate associated with manure determined the plant lodging. The rate of N-120 influenced the plant height to 89.1 cm, but did not provoke the lodging. Thus, in experiments with no ley plot, the average height of wheat plants was the lowest in monoculture and 2-year crop rotation at variants unfertilised with nitrogen (46 cm, respectively 44.6 cm). According to nitrogen rate increasing, the plant height increased, too. In monoculture, at N-0 rate, the wheat plant height was 46 cm, increasing depending on the nitrogen rate: at N-60 = the plant height is 75 cm, at N-120 = 78.3 cm, at N-180 = 76 cm and at N-120+10 t manure = 80 cm. In monoculture, the rates of N-120 and N-120+10 t manure had favourable effect on wheat height.
