摘要
In this study, the heat transfer characteristics of the coil heat exchanger using helium according to the shape and mass flow rate change were investigated. The high temperature was simulated using a water bath, and the experiment was performed by supplying room temperature helium as a fluid inside the coil. The experiments were carried out with varying Reynolds numbers (Re) for three cases with fixed coil diameter and different curvature. Consequently, the greater the curvature ratio, the better were the heat transfer characteristics. However, with an Re more than 50,000, the curvature effect was nearly not shown. In addition, as a result of using helium, Re < 40,000 did not show a significant difference from the theoretical formula, but when Re > 40,000, a higher heat transfer rate was verified.
