摘要
Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks comprise of a spread of acoustic sensors deployed in a geographical area of interest under the sea or ocean. The nodes on capturing data from the particular region send it to a central processing point via cluster heads or/and gateway nodes acting as relay nodes. The performance of networks depends upon different parameters and scenarios. The paper aims at identifying the optimal scenario for acoustic networks that can be built up for conserving the energy of the network or utilizing the energy of nodes in an efficient way. Optimal scenario in the network here refers to finding the best position of sink or the base station, location of gateway nodes and topology of the sensors, with the aim of saving energy.
