摘要：

The aircraft maintenance industry in China is facing a surge with the fast development of general aviation. However, extensive requirements regarding quality, safety, and documentation as well as high costs for having aircrafts idle during maintenance demand for an efficient execution of the tool management during aircraft MRO process. In this study, we design the design and implementation of a smart tool management system based on Internet of Things technologies, present a scenario to demonstrate the improved took checkout and return processes, and analyze the potential benefits and challenges to deploy the system in practice. The proposed system can lead to a more efficient and reliable MRO process compared to the traditional process.
