摘要
This study entails an examination of GPS PWV for two tropical regimes, the North American Monsoon and the Amazon Basin. It is demonstrated that GPS PWV can provide useful data for data poor convective regions. Their use include indentifying dynamical features associated with deep convection in addition to providing an observational constraint on numerical models where water vapor data are lacking. Results are shown from field campaigns (The North American Monsoon Experiment) and from a new observational site in the Amazon Basin.
