Sorption of vanadium(IV), vanadium(V), and molybdenum(VI) on silica chemically modified with iminodiacetic acid groups

摘要
Sorption of vanadium(IV), vanadium(V), and molybdenum(VI) on silica chemically modified with iminodiacetic acid groups was studied as a function of the pH of the aqueous solution, time, and the concentration of metal ions in the aqueous phase. The metal-to-ligand ratio in the sorbent phase was determined. The recovery of vanadium is unaffected by an increase in volume to 0.5 L and an increase in the ionic strength of the solution to 0.5 (NaCl or KCl).
