摘要
This paper presents stator flux based speed estimation of induction motor drive in fixed stator frame of reference using Extended Kalman Filter (EKF). A fourth order mathematical model of the induction motor is derived and is used for estimating the speed where it is introduced as a fifth state. This is believed to be a novel contribution since for estimating speed of the induction motor using EKF, researchers have so far used rotor flux based methematical model of the motor. Results of simulation show very good estimation accuracy at both high and low speeds.
