摘要
An effective approach to enhance the understanding of reduce, reuse and recycle (3R) concepts among students is through edutainment learning. This objective is achieved by designing and developing an Android-based app, known as 3R Interactive Games (3R-IG). 3R-IG consists an opening video which describes information related to the Earth. Several loading screens are created which contain 3R information and mini games to raise players' awareness while waiting for the games to load. A recycle calculator is embedded in the app to enable players to compute their 3R effort achievements. 3R-IG provides two dimensions of interactive games directed at beginner and advance players. The aim is to educate users and influence their attitude to execute the practice of 3R. An experimental analysis was carried out to a total of 30 undergraduate students from Multimedia University, Malacca Campus, Malaysia. There exist significant difference in the mean and standard deviation of the pre-test and post-test analysis. The findings further reveal that 3R-IG is an effective tool to learn, enhance and concretize the theory of reduce, reuse and recycle.
