Acoustic emission means the phenomenon of sending out elastic transient waves resulting from energy quick releasing out of local of material. It is inevitable that the compression deformation of rock accompanied by acoustic emission, and the rational determination of Kaiser Effect point of rock acoustic emission is critical for exactly measuring in-situ stress using technique of acoustic emission. In this paper, servo system MTS815.03 was used to carrying out acoustic emission experiment under uniaxial compression. Through experiment results, Kaiser Effect point only exists in the elastic stage under the uniaxial compression loading, the maximum stress that it remembered is the 48% of ultimate stress of rock, and acoustic emission well reflects the process of compression deformation and damage evolvement of rock. Adopting rock sample and loading path which was the same as experiment, numerical calculation was carried out, and Kaiser Effect point exists in the elastic stage of rock, and maximum stress that it remembered is the 48.7% of ultimate stress of rock. So the Kaiser Effect point determined by experiment agreed with that determined by numerical calculation.
