摘要:
A magnetic Compton profile of SrRuO3 has been measured to elucidate the Ru-O orbital hybridization and orbital occupation. The obtained profile is compared with results of a molecular orbital Hartree Fock calculation based on a (RuO6)(8-) cluster. The spin polarization of strongly hybridized Ru t(2g)-O p orbitals are observed on the magnetic Compton profile. Furthermore, the partial occupation of Ru e(g)-O p orbitals, discussed by previous band theory studies, is shown to be very small.
