摘要
The gravitational search algorithm (GSA) which is based on the Newton laws of gravity was developed by Rashedi et al in the year 2009. The algorithm assumes the initial value of the gravitational constant. The optimal solution may arise for some of the initial values where as local optimal or erratic solution may arise due to some other values resulting in an explosion. To obtain a global optimal solution, there is no method which could suggest the selection of the initial value of the gravitational constant. This problem has been addressed in this paper by proposing a modified GSA method. The velocity of the particle is limited dynamically in each dimension, the solution concerning this problem will not be dependent on the initial value of the gravitational constant and the global optimal solution is obtained always. The results obtained by the proposed method are compared with the results obtain by the PSO method on MATLAB7 Platform.
