On the use of multiple quasi-static mode compensation sets for component mode synthesis of complex structures

摘要
We recently developed a new component mode synthesis method that combines the computational efficiency of the well-known constraint mode approach with the dynamic compensation accuracy obtained by higher-order expansion methods. A tuning parameter, designated as the centering frequency, controls the dynamic range of the quasi-static mode. In this paper, we present criteria for selecting the centering frequency as well as for determining the number of sets of quasi-static modes that should be included in low-frequency and banded, mid-frequency response calculations.
