Optical properties in ternary germanate glasses

摘要
Ternary systems of GeO2-P2O5-MF(2) (M: Ca and Zn) an developed for the purpose of reducing Rayleigh scattering in germanate glasses. Glass-forming regions which were determined show that glasses are formed over a range of MF(2) content to 40 mol%. An investigation of light scattering properties in glasses with specific compositions reveals that the scattering is reduced io 0.43 that of GeO2 glass. In addition, material dispersions obtained from refractive index measurements exhibit a zero-dispersion wavelengths fall in the 1.5 mu m band.
