摘要
After the elections of the French Council of the Muslim Worship in April 2003, a new category of Muslims has emerged: the secular Muslims. They think that the representation of the Muslims of France should not only be restricted to the observant wor-shipers trough the Islamic associations like the UOIF. Thus, we should understand the genesis of this movement as a reply to the creation of the CFCM. The secular Muslims are far from being a coherent and homogeneous movement but look more like a nebula with different and even contradictory ideological postures and strategies for power. Thus, the aim of this article is to understand the borders of this movement. Despite their ideological diversity, the secular Muslims carry some common ideological and psychological behaviour which reflects of plural opinions towards Islam. These opinions about Islam can express affectionate feelings, a lack of concern, a reasoned aloof ness and even a selective distrust or a radical rejection.
