摘要
This paper discusses a now Information System (IS) scheme, band on building two models and looking at their interactions in two ways. The first model named "Business Model", describes the business processes of Manufacturing Engineering Departments (MED) from different views: function, organization, milestone... and at different levels of detail: conceptual, logical and physical. The second one ("Data Model") focuses on trade objects modeling and identifying of their interactions. This new approach allows us to review MED activities as a single and long process transcending the organizational units whose data needs can be expressed by a single common integrated IS.
