Gold(III) extraction from hydrochloric solutions to toluene using N,N′-dipentylethylenediamine-N′-thiocarbaldehyde

摘要
Gold(III) extraction by N,N-dipentylethylenediamine-N'-thiocarbaldehyde from 0.5 M hydrochloric solutions to toluene has been studied. Optimal extraction conditions have been found. The extractant efficiently extracts the metal ion from 0.5 M hydrochloric solutions. A solvation mechanism for the gold(111) C, extraction has been inferred from the IR, electronic, and H-1 NMR spectra. The concentration extraction constant has been calculated, and the thermodynamic parameters of the extraction reaction have been determined.
