摘要
This review discusses current methods and future possibilities for obtaining transportation fuels from biomass. Topics discussed include biomass chemistry and growth rates, biomass gasification, syn-gas utilization, bio-oil production, bio-oil upgrading, biomass monomer production, sugar conversion into fuels, conversion of nonsugar monomers derived from lignocellulose, triglyceride conversion and ethical considerations and conclusions.
