Single crystals of silver-lead oxide Ag5Pb2O6, have been grown from the fusion of a 5:2 stoichiometric mixture of silver nitrate Ag(NO3) and lead nitrate Pb(NO3)(2) at an ambient pressure. The high oxidation ability of nitrates has enabled the formation of Ag5Pb2O6 at an ambient pressure, although Ag5Pb2O6 has been conventionally prepared only by means of high-pressure synthesis methods.
