Multi-threaded adaptive multigrid finite element method for package modeling

摘要
The paper describes a multi-threaded multigrid finite element method using adaptive prism meshes for the package modeling. A robust preconditioning technique is provided for the fast solution of the resultant FEM matrix equations. The proposed preconditioner is based on a multigrid scheme for the vector-scalar potential finite element formulation of the electromagnetic problem. Numerical experiments demonstrate its superior numerical convergence and performance.
