摘要
The present article deals with the rather complex issues of risk management in the company which deals with surface mining and subsequent processing of Spis travertine within Drevenik quarry. It identifies the risks to the actual mining activity in the business plan of opening, preparation and extraction and the actual processing of mined materials. The article presents a comprehensive view of the multilateral nature of risk management to minimize, or eliminate the potential extreme incidents which is reflected in the draft model of risk management in the mining business of the medium-scale surface mine. The model accepts all valid legal regulations in Slovakia and includes possible technical and technological measures, resulting in a reduction of risk factors.
