摘要
Natural regeneration is the main mechanism for restoring the structure of altered forests. Thus, the regeneration dynamics of Astronium graveolens, Astronium lecointei, Manilkara elata and Carapa guianensis were evaluated in 144 ha in the Tapajos National Forest to increase knowledge about the behavior of these species in the area. Data were obtained on five occasions over a 31-year period, in 240 plots of 5 m x 5 m, distributed randomly. The results showed that: Astronium spp needs silvicultural treatments to increase the population in natural regeneration in the area; Carapa guianensis can establish itself and develop naturally after logging in the area, without the need for silvicultural treatments; and Manilkara elata needs silvicultural monitoring to eliminate species that can compete with its development, either in large canopy openings or in shaded areas.
