摘要
Magnetic resonance angiography has evolved from a research tool to a robust clinical diagnostic modality for the evaluation of the mesenteric vasculature. It is the modality of choice for the noninvasive diagnosis of chronic mesenteric ischemia, evaluation of the portal venous system, and assessment of operability of patients with pancreatic cancer in many centers worldwide. Evolving indications are the investigation of liver transplant patients and living related donors and the search for the source of gastrointestinal hemorrhage. In this article, the magnetic resonance techniques used for the evaluation of the mesenteric vasculature and their application for the assessment of its normal anatomy and pathological conditions are reviewed.
