Growth and spectral properties of Nd3+-doped Li3Ba2Ln3(MoO4) (Ln = La, Gd) crystals

摘要
This paper reports the growth and spectroscopic properties of Nd3+:Li(3)Ba(2)Ln(3)(MoO4)(8) (Ln = La, Gd) crystals. Nd3+:Li3Ba2Gd3(MoO4)(8) crystal with dimensions of 40 mm x 4 mm x 10 mm and Nd3+:Li3Ba2La3(MoO4)(8) crystal with dimensions of 15 mm x 28 mm x 8.0 mm have been successfully grown from a flux of Li2MoO4. The spectroscopic properties of both crystals were investigated. The results show that Nd3+:Li(3)Ba(2)Ln(3)(MoO4)(8) (Ln = Gd, La)crystals maybe regarded as a potential solid-state laser host material for diode laser pumping. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V.
